Mount Rushmore -- One of the most iconic places/images in America. Personally having visited it myself it is absolutely incredible to see in person. Taking over 14 years to complete from start to finish, each president’s head is roughly 60 feet high. The four presidents were chosen to represent the nation's birth, growth, development, and preservation. Each president was originally to be depicted from head to waist, but lack of funding forced the construction to end. It is referred to as the Shrine of Democracy.
