Victorian Gothic! A fabulous matching pair of English Whitby Jet cuff bracelets. A real statement, a favourite of the Victorians, circa 1870's and completely and beautifully hand crafted in workshops in the seaside town to a gorgeous polish one can still see the grain of the fossilised wood if you look closely. 

During the Jurassic period, Arucaria Arucana (The Monkey Puzzle tree) grew in vast forests all over the North Coast of England, and after they died out millions of years ago the wood from them became fossilised and formed what we now know as Whitby Jet. 

They measure 4.5cm wide and are elasticated so will fit a variety of wrist sizes as we can remove sections to suit.
